Demetrius understands how much of a toll surprise medical bills, expensive drug costs, and inaccessible health insurance can have on families
Expand Medicaid to help close the health insurance gap
Work to help lower the cost of insulin and prescription drugs

Coming from a working class background and a small business family, Demetrius knows the value of hard work, the importance of livable wages, and the positive effect entrepreneurship can have on a community

Fight for equal pay by closing the gender pay gap
Bring good paying union jobs to the community

Having raised two boys in public schools and having faced the prospects of paying expensive college tuition, Demetrius understands and will listen to parent concerns and he knows the value of education and educators alike.
Invest in our children's futures by adequately funding our local K-12 public schools
Work to make college and trade schools more accessible and affordable
Increase teacher pay and benefits
Protect the HOPE Scholarship for generations to come

Having lived in Henry County for 8 years, Demetrius knows all too well the frustrations around debilitating traffic and trucks crowding our roadways
Work with GDOT to direct more funds to Henry County
Support the construction of The Bethlehem Road Interchange to cut down on truck traffic
Fix our crumbling roads and bridges
Ensure that the development of new warehouses is followed by investment in our community and our local infrastructure
